when someone signs up for a pilot and their show is up in the air, the pilot is usually in second position. so i would assume that if csi miami gets renewed, they would recast eva on the comedy show. if csi miami gets cancelled, she would be in the comedy. i'm not saying that this is for sure, but this is usually how it goes. (like damon wayans jr and new girl/happy endings last year)

The way I read it (here, should have put this in the first post), this is in her first position because at the moment none of the actors in Miami have a renewed contract. It says “the Moore project is in first position to her role on CSI: Miami.”

So if Miami is renewed, then they may recast her on that in first position, if she still wants to stay with Miami. Seeing as it would probably be the last season, she still may leave. 

Thanks for this, it’s kind of confusing.
